Former Principal of the Annette Adams School of Dancing (2012-2019) BA (Hons), Grade Dip. RAD RTS
Samantha Kemp graduated with a full Scholarship from London Studio Centre with a BA Honours Degree in Dance. Samantha as a young performer accomplished working and touring around the UK with English Youth Ballet, ISTD Scholars School, Scottish Youth Ballet and National Youth Ballet, winning the Barbara Georghan Choreography Cup and Musicality Cup presented by Barbara Georghan and Adjudicated by Frank Freeman.
Throughout her training in London Samantha taught for numerous London Schools and the surrounding areas as well as gaining extensive experience in performing in Pantomimes dancing at many prestigious theatres such as Sadler’s Wells and gaining knowledge of working in Radio and TV.
On her return to Bristol, Samantha taught Ballet, Tap and Modern at many local Dance Schools and also taught Dance classes and competition dances for Bristol UWE and Bristol University. As a former Pupil of the School, Samantha returned as a RAD Ballet teacher in 2010 and then achieved the honour of joining many successful line of Principal's in 2012. Samantha feels privileged to have been the Principal of the Annette Adams School and now, proud to continue the great success of the School as the Upper School Vocational Ballet Teacher.
DDE ISTD in Tap and Modern
Studying full time at the Dance Academy South Wets, Sacha learnt many new techniques and generes such as Contemproary, Hip Hop, Ballet, aJzz, Modern and Tap. At DASW Sacha had the opportunity to work with many profesional teachers and West End performers from arounf the UK. Whilst training Sacha had the experience of performing on the Bristol Harbourside Festival Dance Stage and Boomtown Festival.
Sacha teaches in and around Bristol such as the Bristol University specialising in Jazz and Choreography, Dance Mum's and Didi Dance. Sacha has been with our School since 2014 and we have seen Sacha grow and develop in to the teacher she is today. Sacha teaches our Tap, Jazz, Modern, Pre School Ballet and Mini's Hip Hop Classes at the School and loves working with students at all different ages. Sacha's particularly loves teaching our Performance Group whom compete in festivals around the South West.
DDE ISTD in Tap, Modern and Ballet
A Bristol trained dancer Jane pressed her dance carer as she trained professionally, gaining her teaching qualifications in ISTD at The Bristol College of Dancing. After her training Jane's professional career began a performing in numerous pantomimes and was a member of a Road Show Cabaret touring the Isle of Wight and South Coast. Jane took her dance career further afield and performed in various shows in Crete, Fuerteventura, Corsica, Greece, Turkey and Tunisia. Through performing Jane found a love of Choreography and joined German holiday company Robinson Club where she danced and choreographed throughout Europe.
After settling in Tunisia with her family Jane opened up her own Ballet School for the local children as well as teaching Yoga, Pilates, Aerobics and Zumba in Radisson Blue Hotel on the island of Djerba. It was on her return to the UK she continued her teaching career for local Dance Schools in the Bristol and surrounding areas and is now a well-established freelance teacher and choreographer teaching ISTD and RAD. Jane currently teaches our Senior Graded Ballet Classes at the School as well as choreographing for our Classical Performance Groups who compete in the South West in Dance Festivals.
Training from a young age studying gaining many examinations in ISTD Tap, Ballet and Modern Georgie went onto continue her training full time at Dance Academy South West. Georgie learnt a variety of styles of dance which broadened her knowledge of dance and had the opportunity to work with many professional dancers and choreographers.
After her two years training at DASW Georgie went on to study with the Royal Academy of Dance and gain her Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies and works in and around Bristol teaching RAD Ballet. Georgie teaches our lower Graded classes at the School and is looking forward in working with our students.
DDE ISTD in Tap and Modern
Former pupil of the School Anisha went onto train with ISTD Examiner Judith Hockaday gaining her qualifications in ISTD Tap and Modern. Later on, Anisha continued her training and became a Personal Fitness Instructor and works with many clients across Bristol.
Anisha has returned to our School teaching the RAD Ballet Graded syllabus for our Junior's Classes, Beginners Ballet, Pre Primary and Primary Ballet. Anisha's role within the School is to train students for their Exams, and her most favourite part of the year is when we rehearse for our productions.
Kate trained at the renowned Laine Theatre Arts in Surrey, graduating with diplomas in teaching and musical theatre. She has worked in professional productions as a singer, dancer and actress for over 20 years and directed several high profile theatre productions and national tours. Behind the scenes Kate has devised, choreographed and produced her own touring cabaret shows, which have met with acclaim both in the UK and Europe.
Now Permanently based in Bristol she is thrilled to be sharing her experience and knowledge with a new generation of young performers
Mrs Marshall has been with the School since the beginning! Her extensive knowledge of music has seen Mrs Marshall play and conduct for many big and small companies in and around Bristol. Mrs Marshall has since retired, however still continues to play for our students and her local choir. We are honoured to have Mrs Marshall play for us, and the students are lucky to have live music! Mrs Marshall's favourite time is Exam season seeing the students hard work paying off as she acompanies them.
