Our Teachers

We are proud to say all our teachers are fully qualified, hold enhanced DSB Checks and are first aid trained. Our Faculty are passionate about teaching and their specialised field and fully embrace the School ethos "every student matters".

Jade Pritchard - Middle School/Upper School Vocational Ballet Teacher

Fellow of the Imperial Ballet

BA (HONS), L.R.A.D, A.R.A.D, DDE (MT)

Jade trained at the Royal academy of Dance, London, gaining a BA (hons) in Ballet education,  Associate and Licentiate qualifications. Jade has since achieved her Fellowship with the Imperial ballet, has become a tutor for trainee teachers and has over 10 years of teaching experience.  Whilst specialising in classical ballet and choreography Jade has taught for Janet Marshall and in and around South West and surrounding areas, teaching all ages and levels. However, in the more recent years focusing on the  training of vocational and elite dancers, which had developed after being employed as a relief teacher for Elmhurst associates in Plymouth and Manchester.

 

Jade is passionate about teaching, which is reflected in the high level of results of which has taken students on to perform at the prestigious Geneé International competition, Solo Seal and achieving their advanced 2. Through this training students have gone on to pursue training at professional dance schools and some are currently dancing professionally. Jade has taught and coached students for the Imperial Classical ballet awards, who have then gone on to either win or get a place. Jade has choreographed many dances that have been very successful at competitions.  Jade is also PBT qualified.

Jade's role within the School is as the Upper School Vocational Ballet Teacher.

Sacha Osmond - Middle School Modern & Jazz/Upper School Tap Teacher 

DDE ISTD in Tap and Modern

Studying full time at the Dance Academy South West, Sacha learnt many techniques and genres such as Contemporary, Hip Hop, Ballet, Jazz, Modern and Tap. At DASW Sacha had the opportunity to work with many professional teachers and West End performers from around the UK. Whilst training Sacha had the experience of performing  on the Bristol Harbourside Festival Dance Stage and Boomtown Festival.

Sacha has been with our School since 2014 and we have seen Sacha grow and develop in to the teacher she is today. Sacha teaches our Tap, Jazz, Modern, Beginners Ballet classes at the School and loves working with students of all different ages. 

Jane Hamrouni - Upper School Ballet Teacher

DDE ISTD in Tap, Modern and Ballet

​A Bristol trained dancer Jane pressed her dance carer as she trained professionally, gaining her teaching qualifications in ISTD at The Bristol College of Dancing. After her training Jane's professional career began a performing in numerous pantomimes and was a member of a Road Show Cabaret touring the Isle of Wight and South Coast. Jane took her dance career further afield and performed in various shows in Crete, Fuerteventura, Corsica, Greece, Turkey and Tunisia. Through performing Jane found a love of Choreography and joined German holiday company Robinson Club where she danced and choreographed throughout Europe.

After settling in Tunisia with her family Jane opened up her own Ballet School for the local children as well as teaching Yoga, Pilates, Aerobics and Zumba in Radisson Blue Hotel on the island of Djerba. ​It was on her return to the UK she continued her teaching career for local Dance Schools in the Bristol and surrounding areas and is now a well-established freelance teacher and choreographer teaching ISTD and RAD. Jane currently teaches our Senior Graded Ballet Classes at the School as well as choreographing for our Classical Performance Groups who compete in the South West in Dance Festivals.

Olivia Dorrington - Middle School Ballet & Modern Teacher

Olivia is a former student of Annette Adams who professionally trained at Performers College. Olivia has worked in the dance industry for the last 7 years. Some of my her work includes  FA Cup Opening Ceremony. X Factor UK, Boomtown Festival and Stage Shows. Olivia has toured professionally in dance and as a singer.

Olivia is currently completing her DDE ISTD in Ballet, Tap & Modern qualifications and shares her enthusiasm for teaching with her students.

Anisha Patel - Pre Primary & Primary Ballet Teacher 

DDE ISTD in Tap and Modern

Former pupil of the School Anisha went onto train with ISTD Examiner Judith Hockaday gaining her qualifications in ISTD Tap and Modern. Later on, Anisha continued her training and became a Personal Fitness Instructor and works with many clients across Bristol.

Anisha returned to our School teaching the RAD Ballet Graded syllabus Beginners Ballet, Pre Primary and Primary Ballet. Anisha's role within the School is to train students for their Exams, and her most favourite part of the year is when we rehearse for our productions.

Kate Williamson - AA Ignite Musical Theatre Teacher

Musical Theatre

Kate trained at the renowned Laine Theatre Arts in Surrey, graduating with diplomas in teaching and musical theatre. She has worked in professional productions as a singer, dancer and actress for over 20 years and directed several high profile theatre productions and national tours. Behind the scenes Kate has devised, choreographed and produced her own touring cabaret shows, which have met with acclaim both in the UK and Europe.

Now Permanently based in Bristol she is thrilled to be sharing her experience and knowledge with a new generation of young performers
